In government hospitals, patients are basically at the mercy of uncouth, easily agitated nurses.
They can be scolded, chided and treated sarcastically.
Nurses generally are claimed to be over worked.
However, quite a number can be seen yakking away, tongue lashing at helpless patients when they get frustrated.
The pathetic treatment of patients not only in urban, but especially in rural government hospitals must be seriously noted.
Not only in terms of food, hours where they make patients wait to have much needed bottom cleaning assistance must be improved.
Let a kin be at the side 24 hours if they think they wish to rest more and not be disturbed with stinking pee and poo chores.
Otherwise, they should be on their pretty toes.
Not milling about at their designated counters, and flexing their muscles to make patients scared of asking their help.
We have a brand new government.
Tun M is a doctor.
Surely he must be aware of the long standing gravity of mistreatment, happening in government hospitals.
Till when will there be a cure for rampant 'patient cruelty' in government hospitals?
And where are our PRU14 elected Aduns and MPs regardless PH or Opposition.
Too high and mighty to go down and check on the well being of such poor rakyat?
Putting a blind eye on the plight of patients who may have been wheeled with tubes to voting booths?
Busy forever on their political survival and party campaigning inside out?
Not the least worried sick about those who simply cannot afford private hospital care.
